Flowering Response by Grafting between Short Day Cultivar and Day Neutral Culticar in Dendranthema grandiflorum

Abstract
This study was conducted to study the flowering response by grafting between short day cultivars (Paekulryeo, Hwangulryeo, Seolpoong) and day neutral cultivar (Choonkwang) in Dendranthema grandiflorum. The flowering response by grafting between two cultivars were definitely affected by stocks and scions. Frequency of crown buds by grafting between short day cultivars as scion and day neutral cultivars as stocks certainly increased more than that of reverse grafting as scions and stocks. In the grafting between short day cultivars as scions and day neutral cultivars as stocks, days to flowering were significantly delayed and number of flowers were somewhat increased in the short day cultivar ¢¥Paekulryeo as scion. In the grafting between day neutral cultivars as scions and short day cultivars as stocks, days to flowering were shortened in the short day cultivar ¢¥Seolpoong as stock. Number of flowers increased in the short day cultivar ¢¥Hwangulryeo¢¥ as stock and in the day neutral cultivar ¢¥Choonkwang¢¥ as scion with ¢¥Paekulryeo¢¥ as stock.
